Since 1993, M&M Fire Protection and Security has been serving the Michiana area with dedication and expertise. Founded by Mitch and Kim Moser in Goshen, Indiana, the company originated from a personal project when Mitch decided to install a security system in their home. Impressed by Mitch’s exceptional wiring work, the security company he hired even offered him a job, sparking the idea for Mitch to start his own security business.
Mitch began by familiarizing himself with various security devices, experimenting and perfecting his skills at home, much to Kim’s surprise as she navigated sudden alarms while cooking. M&M quickly found its niche in the local community, with Mitch and Kim working as a team—Kim handling wiring and bookkeeping, while Mitch made sales calls and personally oversaw installations. Their son Ben eventually joined the team, making it a true family business.
M&M Security grew into a five-person team built on the core values of treating customers with respect and exceeding their expectations. These principles of professionalism and outstanding service have been the cornerstone of M&M’s success and continue to drive the company today.
A New Chapter for M&M Fire and Security
In 2007, Mitch Moser decided to transition to a new phase of his life, feeling the call to full-time ministry. He sold the thriving security company to Ross Munn and Wes Culver. In 2009, the company expanded its services by adding Fire Protection, which became a significant part of both the company’s offerings and its name. By 2011, Wes Culver bought Ross’s share and began granting ownership to several long-term employees, fostering a sense of investment and dedication within the team.
M&M Fire Protection & Security has built enduring relationships with clients ranging from homeowners to businesses and government agencies throughout the Michiana region. We continue to serve some of the largest businesses in the area, grounded in trust, experience, and local presence. Today, our team consists of 11 employees, including six full-time technicians who are constantly assisting clients and setting up new systems. Alec
Operations Manager
Alec is the Operations Manager here at M&M. He started out as summer help on the fire extinguisher side at 16 years old and has grown into his role over the years. He is passionate about working with clients and finding solutions that keep customers safe and satisfied. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, mountain biking, and tinkering on projects in his shop.
Alyssa
Bookkeeper
Alyssa is a dedicated bookkeeper at M&M, excelling in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting team. With a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, she ensures our financial operations run smoothly. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and watching movies. Alyssa's commitment & approachable nature make her a valued member of our team.
Brad
Threat Assessment Solutions Consultant
Brad is a 35-year Peace Officer veteran and former Sheriff of Elkhart County, Indiana (2011-2018). Known for his strong defense of the Second Amendment, Brad is passionate about safeguarding churches, businesses, and schools from threats through cost-effective strategies. An avid bicyclist, he also enjoys camping, shooting sports, & serving as a Scoutmaster. Brad and his wife, Susie, have three adult children.
Casey
Fire Safety Tech I
A Michigan native, Casey enjoys working in the fire protection industry because it lets him indulge his obsessive attention to detail and fondness for exploring old buildings, while making a difference in the safety of others. He is a shutterbug who loves cats, going to the beach with his wife, airshows and aviation, northern Michigan, Marvel movies, cars, history, mowing the lawn after dark, and beekeeping.
Dustin
Security Tech II
Before joining M&M, Dustin spent time in the Army, became an Army Ranger, and worked several tours as a security contractor. His attention to detail and situational awareness is why his inspections and security work are impeccable. Dustin’s dedication and mental fortitude are a huge asset to M&M. When Dustin is not working, he enjoys: family time, fishing, kayaking, and disc golf.

Senior Tech
Jeff is one of our senior techs with over 10 years of experience in the security & fire industry. His passion is making our customers happy and building long-lasting relationships. A fun fact about Jeff is that he used to play guitar in a band. He enjoys doing projects around his farm and playing the guitar in his spare time.

Kaci plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. With her strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail, she supports various administrative functions and keeps our team on track. Outside of work, Kaci enjoys quality time with her family, getting lost in a good book, and savoring a great cup of coffee. Her dedication and commitment make her an invaluable part of our team.
